At Central Snowsports, our goal is to exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional guest service. While customer service or retail experience is a valuable asset, it is not essential for applications. What we truly need is a polite, friendly, engaging attitude and a positive mindset.
Potential employees will have the opportunity to work a season in the snow, navigating changing weather conditions and varying workloads. Living in a small village environment makes this experience unique, so adaptability is a key attribute.
Ski and snowboard knowledge is an advantage, as is passion and experience in the snow industry. At Central Snowsports, we’ll help you develop your knowledge of snow sports equipment and support you in sharing our love for snow sports with our guests.
Rental: Fitting and servicing customers with all their hire requirements. Rental products include, boots, skis, snowboards, helmets, clothing, toboggans.
Retail: Retail sales, mainly consisting of accessories. Gloves, goggles, beanies.
Customer Service: Knowledge of the Falls Creek Village and how to get around, the equipment provided, eateries, beginner tips, all things to help the guest enjoy their holiday and progress and enjoy.
Computer & Cash Desk Duties: EasyRent software for POS and customer management, Card and Cash payments, End of day balancing
Genteral Store Duties: Stock-takes, Stock replenishment, Cleaning, Laundry etc.
Workshop Tech: Experienced with a background in waxing, basic hand tuning, mounting and machine finishing. Training and upskilling provided and are seeking an individual looking for a year round position across our Falls Creek, Australia and Hakuba, Japan operations.
Other: Other duties may include pickups and deliveries which would require the ability to drive snow vehicles. You will need a drivers licence. You may be required to work at any location during the day. All locations are within walking distance.
Remuneration is based on the General Retail Industry Award.
Hours will be based on demand and vary throughout the season with conditions and guest numbers. You will be required to work casual hours assigned on the roster.
Hours are assigned so staff get time on snow. You will receive at least 1 full day off each week plus half days.
Workshop Ski/Snowboard Technicians based on past experience. Work hours extend outside opening hours.
Falls Creek Central Snowsports can also arrange your on-mountain accommodation.
We have limited staff beds available at a cost if required. 8 Share furnished apartment. You should budget about $310 per week for accomodation costs including utilities.
Cooking and Laundry facilities supplied plus your basic bedding requirements. You should bring personal items, food and cleaning products.
