Here are some important tips to help you on the mountain.

Gear checklist – be prepared for your trip

Ensure you're fully equipped for your ski or snowboard adventure with these essentials:

  • Ski/Snowboard Jacket: A warm, water-resistant jacket is a must. (HIRE PARKA available)
  • Ski/Snowboard Pants: Choose warm, water-resistant pants, bibs/overalls, or a one-piece suit. (HIRE PANTS available)
  • Base Layers: Layering is key to staying warm. Wool-based thermals are ideal, with a mid-layer for extra warmth on the coldest days.
  • Gloves/Mitts: A quality pair of gloves or mitts are essential. For those who feel the cold, mitts offer added warmth. We have a range of gloves and mitts available to buy in-store.
  • Liners: For extra warmth, especially on the coldest days, consider merino or equivalent glove/mitt liners. Great for walking around or dining out.
  • Walking Boots: Waterproof boots with good grip are necessary. (HIRE WALKING BOOTS available)
  • Goggles: Protect your eyes with goggles – sunglasses are suitable for sunny, low-wind days, but goggles are essential for skiing or snowboarding.
  • Helmet: Highly recommended for all skiers and snowboarders. The majority of participants wear one for safety.
  • Face Protection: Essential for cold weather. We offer a range of Balaclavas and Neckwarmers in-store. If purchasing a balaclava, make sure it’s thin enough to fit under your helmet.
  • Sunscreen: Always wear sunscreen, ideally one that also protects against wind. Don’t forget lip balm for your pocket!
  • Camera: Capture all the fun memories on the slopes!
